DCM Citation
For cool courage and devotion to duty. On the 29th of September 1918, in front of Villers Guislain, France, under very heavy fire, he succeeded in bringing his trench mortar gun into action, from which excellent results were obtained. He has always displayed keenness and a high sense of duty in very trying circumstances.

After WW1, George married Elsie M Nowell in the 2nd quarter of 1920 which was registered at Newton Abbot.
Before WW2, George and Elsie were living in the Newton Abbot area where George was a farmer.
George died in the 2nd quarter of 1964 which was registered at Newton Abbot.
