Major Owen Cunningham Preston Cooke was commissioned Lieutenant in the Royal Army Medical Corps on 30th January 1906.
Captain (Temporary Major) Owen Cunningham Preston Cooke served with the Egyptian Expeditionary Force.
He was mentioned for gallant and distinguished conduct in the field and for other services in a dispatch from General Sir Archibald Murray, describing the operations of the Egyptian Expeditionary Force from 1st October 1916, to 28th February 1917.
Owen's parents are Thomas Owen Preston Cooke (1849-) and Louisa Susanna Ley (1845-1892). Owen has a sister Amy L and two brothers Arthur T and Charles J.
