Miss Catherine Mary Noel Etches age 22 of *The Grange, Teignmouth, Devon.

*The Grange is thought to have been a large property located opposite The Teignmouth Old Cemetery, it no longer exists as the area was redeveloped in the late 1990s.

Catherine had a brother, Lieutenant Guy P. Etches of the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment Attached Machine Gun Corps.  Guy was reported in the Times newspaper of 5 October 1918, as wounded.

Catherine married Captain Frederic Harrison Maynard in 1917.

 

 

Date of engagement with VAD: 8th October, 1915 to December 1915.

Rank: Nurse.

3rd London General Hospital Wandsworth.
