Marjorie Ethel Denny was born on 23 October 1986 in London.
Marjorie's mother was Rose Elizabeth Denning née Ingram who was born in Notting Hill, London (1868-1947) and her father was William Conningsby Denning, he was Irish and born in Christchurch, New Zealand (1867-1935).
In 1893 Marjorie's brother was born, (he was also called William Conningsby Denning), he died in infancy. In 1885 Marjorie's brother Charles Conningsby Denny was born, he survived only five months
In 1901, Marjorie was living at 6 Alberta Place, Penarth, Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales, with her Mother Rose, two boarders, and one live-in general servant.

In 1911 Marjorie and her parents were living at Tralee, Port View Shaldon (Teignmouth). Marjorie's father was a Commercial Traveller in Cattle Foods.
Marjorie was engaged with the Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) from 5th April,1917 to 5th May 1917.
She served as a Nurse at the Town Hall Red Cross Hospital, Torquay, Devon and worked full-time, when Marjorie joined VAD she gave her permanent address as of Tralee, Coombe Vale, Teignmouth, Devon.
In 1939, Marjorie is shown working living at Lodge, West End Road, Church Hill, Winchester, Hampshire as a 'Domestic Servce Mistress'.
Marjorie Ethel Denny died on 4 March 1981 in Gosport, Hampshire (her parents also died in Gosport).
