He is definitely not the son of Charles & Ellen Boughton, previous minister living at Shaldon. Charles Everitt Boughton had two sons - Joseph Charles W Boughton born 1881; Edward N W Boughton born 1888.
Charles Everitt died in Shaldon 1893, Ellen Nelson Boughton his wife remarried. No trace of Joseph Charles following 1891 census. Edward shown on 1901 census with mother and stepfather. No further trace. Neither on CWGC.
No other casualty named Boughton with a connection with Teignmouth.
