During our research we have come across people from Teignmouth and Shaldon who served during WW1 and survived the war.

Frederick Winsborrow of Shaldon served with the 5th Battalion of the Devonshire Regiment.

He was honourably discharged from military service due to wounds or sickness as he is wearing a silver war badge in this photograph taken after the war.
